Mariöl District with Six Houses

The “Mariöl District” develops in continuity with the historic core of Zuoz. Inserted within the sequence of village squares, it forms a new spatial unit upstream. The buildings, aligned along the streets, are oriented toward the spectacular views of Piz Mezzaun to the south and Piz d’Esan to the east. High density is managed through two principles: building close to the street and maintaining minimum distances between structures. This arrangement creates a central green space that ensures both views and sunlight, along with an urban street area. The buildings reflect typical local elements while accommodating modern needs for light, view, and space.
