Suspended House
The terraced plot retains natural contours, with terracing and retaining walls shaping the ground. The project lifts the house above terrain continuity, preserving essential natural elements like a meadow. External interventions include a cherry tree, an eastern vegetable garden, and a western orchard. Gardens penetrate the interior, creating a continuous landscape. Terraces follow the slope around a central terrace. Light enters via incised volumes, a small courtyard, and skylights capturing heat for low energy use. The wooden building rests on a base separating it from moisture, with technical spaces underneath. Entry is via a small bridge, leading to intimate interior spaces facing the horizon.
